MARVIS tested against two subsea incidents
The first MARVIS pipeline for anomalies at sea was tested in hindcast against two confirmed European subsea incidents, each with a signed evidence bundle.

Infrastructure under the sea
Pipelines and cables on the seabed carry energy and data between European countries. When one is damaged, the first question is what happened above it. MARVIS reads radar images from Sentinel-1 together with ship tracking data from AIS to find the signals that set a vessel's behaviour apart.
A hindcast, signed
The first pipeline was run back over two confirmed incidents, and each result was sealed in a signed evidence bundle that can be checked later. These are retrospective tests, not ongoing monitoring. They show that the method finds what it should when the answer is already known.
In development
MARVIS is in development for its second version. It follows the same rule as the rest of Northflow's research: every finding is signed, so others can run it again from the same data.
